Update

To answer Aditi's comment, I did succumb to India during my 4th week here. My condition got worse over the weekend, I got extremely dehydrated, and had to go to the hospital yesterday. There I confirmed that I have gastroenteritis, which explained all my symptoms. At the hospital they told me I weighed a little over 100 pounds. This is probably the first time I've told anyone how much I weigh, because even to me this was lower than my diet target weight.

I had many interesting observations, questions, and doubts these few weeks, but they're now past their prime. Very soon I'll be back to America. I miss home a lot and actually cannot wait to be back.
